Teaching Responsibilies
On the job training available

Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for assigned class or group (aligned with the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards
-
Plan and implement daily program activities
-
Delegate specifically assigned duties such as snack time, clean-up, lunch, diapering/potty training
-
Monitor group activities such as washing hands, dressing for outdoors, free play, circle time and/or arts and crafts
-
Assist in the improvement, support, and comprehension of the continuous quality improvement efforts of early learning programs in Pennsylvania

REQUIRED Qualifications

At Least 18 Years of Age on or Before Start Date of Employment

May be younger than 18 years of age if enrolled in a Vocational School’s Early Learning Program

GED or High School Diploma
-
Must have Reliable Transportation
PREFERRED Qualifications
-
Previous experience working in a childcare center
-
Previous Knowledge of the Pennsylvania Childcare Regulations
-
Previous Knowledge of the Keystone STARS Performance Standards
-
Proof of at least 2 years or 2,500 hours working with children (can be obtained on the job).

AA or BS Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education
-
CDA, Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Masters' Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education
